Our Presenter
Matt Molloy is a highly experienced dispute resolver with a background in construction and engineering. He is the founder and co-director of MCMS Limited, established in 1996, and has since been appointed in more than 1 000 disputes as adjudicator, arbitrator, mediator, expert determiner, and as a member of conflict and dispute avoidance panels and boards. Before becoming a full-time dispute resolver, Matt began his career in quantity surveying and contract management before undertaking his legal training and being called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2001. His appointments have involved disputes worth up to £110 million both in the UK and internationally, across sectors such as energy and process engineering, transport infrastructure, hospitals, education, housing, and hotels and leisure. He has extensive experience with all major standard forms of contract, including FIDIC and NEC, regularly resolving disputes involving highly complex technical and legal issues. Alongside his professional practice, Matt contributes to the development of dispute resolution through teaching and examining. He is currently also a part-time PhD student at Queen Mary University of London, undertaking research into international law and arbitration and, in 2024, he co-authored his first book, Adjudicating Construction and Engineering Disputes.
